As a 3rd year student in graphic and web design, I’ve always anticipated the vernissage since my first year. But now that it is so close, I feel like it went by so fast and seeing all the experiences that I acquired is crazy. I am writing this blog post to talk about what I learned over these few years and all the tools in my toolbox.
First, I’ve acquired a lot of knowledge in photography and how images can change a whole design. That is the reason why I added a section in my Portfolio dedicated to this talent. Also, for 2 semesters, I’ve sent some of the photography you see in my portfolio for the Locus. This is the artistic journal of the school in which we can send work that is related to art. (music, photography, paintings, drawings, etc.) And I have been published twice! I have not only sent photos for the Locus but also illustrations. Illustration is one of my strong suits too because I’ve taken a drawing class. I’ve learned and improved a lot from that class because I’ve learned about light, shading, and movement. Every time that I draw, I use these techniques to make my drawing feel more realistic. I have learned a lot of skills over those three years going from graphic and web design, but I always love learning new things. I would be a good graphic designer because I love regrouping all my talents and creating work that is visually pleasing but also useful.
All this to say that my work is going to be presented at the Vernissage. There is going to be all my work throughout the years and free stickers. Bring friends, family and even your date because it is always nice to meet new people and learn new skills.
