My name is Jasmine and welcome to my website. Sit back, enjoy, and take the time to get to learn about me. For starters, I’m a country girl, raised in the field, which is why I love nature’s beauty so much. Since I was young, I’ve always been creative. I love to draw, DIY, scrapbook, sing, cook, etc.
How did I get there?
I graduated High School during the pandemic in 2020, at a time when we were stuck in our houses. Without knowing what I wanted to do with my life, I signed up for the art, letter, and communication program at John Abbott College. I signed up for a video production class, which hooked me on design. I didn’t know this program existed, but after researching it, I immediately signed up. This is my dream job because you get to be creative but also socialize with people.
Three years later, I’m graduating and I’m going to finally be a graphic and web designer. When I’m doing a project on my computer, I don’t realize that it is homework or a job, I like spending time creating. My favourite part of graphic design is the illustrations and how to integrate them in posters, business cards for example. I’m a little bit weird because I like coding websites, which is the worst nightmare of my classmates.
My current job, as a coordination assistant at Anna Laberge Hospital, taught me so much. I learned how to deal with stress and how to prioritize the things that I need to do, also creating bonds with the other employees is important. I also learned to be versatile and find solutions quickly to numerous problems that occur at the hospital.
What do I do in my free time?
When I’m not in front of my computer, I probably do some hot yoga or I’m outside taking pictures of what surrounds me. As you can see, I love going to visit new places, and as a result, my camera is full of beautiful pictures.
